Upon moving to the ranch in 1994, I began live-trapping, neutering and vaccinating the 14 cats that lived there. I was bitten by one that ultimately died from rabies, so I recieved the rabies shots over three months while I cared for the eight wild cats which were quarantined for six months. The quarantine facility that we built was inside the log cabin in the corral, which now is my studio. Total: 20 cats, including the 6 we brought from Venice Beach!
